Sheer cliffs form the image of the coastline in the north of Tenerife. It is here, near cliffs such as these, that we find the small, pretty and well cared-for village of El Sauzal with its charming plaza and many of flowerbeds. Above, on the cliffs, there are several popular panoramic look-out points.
A special attraction in El Sauzal is the wine museum. The building alone is worth a visit, a former 17th century farm-house with an old wine-press in the inner courtyard.
In the different exhibition rooms the history of wine production in Tenerife is clearly explained. It goes without saying that you can also try some of the local wines or even buy your favourite wine on the spot.
El Sauzal has much more to offer, for example Manuel´s pottery. He works fast, and in a flash he turns out lots of different articles for sale, including plates, cups, vases and other ceramics. There are many supermarkets and restaurants in the village. In particular, we´d like to recommend two very good restaurants: Los Angeles and La Ermita. As well as Canarian and international cuisine they also offer a large variety of fish specialities. Besides that, you have the opportunity to visit the weekend farmer's market in La Matanza where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, wine and other products offered by local farmers. The distance to the south airport is about 80 km, the north airport, about 20 km. The capital, Santa Cruz, is about 35 km away and Puerto de la Cruz 15 km.
“Villa Corona” will entice you with its exclusive furnishings and fittings. It´s perfect for up to 6 people who are looking for quiet but luxurious surroundings for their holiday. The well kept sub-tropical gardens and terraces and, not least, the wonderfully panoramic views of the sea and mount Teide invite you to lounge for incomparable hours of silence and relaxation. The garden is laid out with palm trees, flowers and lawn. Far away from commercial tourism and without being overlooked, you’ll enjoy a care-free holiday here.
The living room is around 28m² and has two leather sofas and an open fireplace. Further on in this luxurious holiday house you’ll find a bar with barbecue and seating for up to 20 people, music equipment, a sauna and a fitness room with different pieces of apparatus and an exercise bike.
An illuminated pool (about 9 x 4,5 m) is solar-heated to a constant temperature of around 25ºC or often more. On the sun terrace there is a sunshade and six sun loungers. There is parking space for your hire car directly in front of the villa.
There is, as you would expect, a fully-fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine, oven and a 4-ring electric hob. The dining room has a panoramic view of sea and mount Teide too. The total internal area is around 300m², distributed over two floors. A television with digital satellite dish and video, ironing board and iron, as well as a washing machine are installed. Almost all rooms have parquet flooring.
All three bedrooms have large double-beds with orthopaedic mattresses and real woollen blankets. There are three bathrooms with bath/shower as well as a guest cloakroom. Most of the sanitaryware is from “Villeroy & Boch”. The Wi-Fi internet connection is available free of charge.
