Adeje is the most beautiful town in the south of Tenerife. Some of the older original buildings are still intact. Thanks to the large tax revenues from the tourist areas on the coast, the town of Adeje has developed the surrounding residential areas with wide streets and plenty of greenery. The main street with its Indian Laurel trees is particularly charming. There are restaurants on both sides of the street, with tables and chairs in the shade of the trees.

The area around the "Barranco del Infierno" and the ravine itself is an important source of water in Tenerife and has always been known as a fertile area. In the 16th Century, the Ponte family grew sugar there. At the time, they lived in the “Casa Fuerte”. The house still exists today. The oldest and largest church in the South, Santa Ursula, is just a few steps away. A walk through “Hell´s Canyon”, that is “Barranco del Infierno” is highly recommended. It takes about 3 hours to walk it, and it is particularly interesting from a botanical point of view.

The house "Casa Estrella" was built on an unspoiled plot of open ground and gardens of around 3,000 m². It is at a height of about 460 m in a quiet area just outside Adeje.

The house has a large living room with fitted kitchen and dining area, two separate bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin. The larger bedroom has a double bed (180 x 200 cm). In the 2nd bedroom there is a sofa-bed that can be opened out (140 x 190 cm). The total interior space is about 80 m². The kitchen is equipped with all important kitchen utensils, including a 4-ring gas hob, coffee maker, toaster, etc..

The living room has a TV with satellite connection for the reception of major international radio and television channels in digital quality. A radio, as well as bed linen, hand towels, bath towels and tea towels are provided.

There are two sun terraces of around 30 m² and 70 m² with garden furniture and sun loungers. In the garden there is also a small sitting area, with table and chairs. You get a wonderful view from there of the ocean, and in the evening, of the sea of lights that is Los Cristianos and Las Americas.

For a few weeks during the year, the friendly owner is resident in another house at the foot of the property and she will be happy to give you tips on local hiking trails and information about good restaurants in the area.

The house is a non-smoking property, although smoking is allowed outside on the terraces and in the garden.
 
Journey times:

From here it is approximately 25 minutes´ drive to the airport and about 12 minutes to the beaches or the main tourist resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. You can reach large supermarkets within about 5 minutes. The nearest golf course (Golf Costa Adeje) is about 10 minutes away.
