Costa del Silencio means "Coast of
Silence". Due to a peculiar twist in geography, the north-east
trade-winds pass the utmost south-east part of Tenerife without
interfering negatively in the climate of the area around "Golf del Sur"
. Also as to the tourist sector this coast area is relatively peaceful;
there are no high buildings to be found, and no large hotel complexes
around. Nevertheless, the exclusive complex of "Golf del Sur" has a lot
to offer: in the middle of the huge golf course a small village has
arisen in the last few years.
There are supermarkets, restaurants,
cafeterias, a taxi rank, a pharmacy and a variety of shopping
possibilities. You do not necessarily need to rent a car here. For the
short trip from the airport you can use our transfer service or take a
taxi.
The sea water pool and the sea as well are easily reached in a
few minutes' walk. The bus station is only about 100 m away.
The holiday complex "Golf del Sur"
was divided in different areas. The apartment rented out is part of a
3-storey house and is situated on the second floor.
The apartment of approx. 50 sq.mts. belongs to the Apart-Hotel
"Albatros". It disposes of a large sitting room with a separate
kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony. The sitting room has a
sitting area with couches, a cupboard and a satellite television set to
receive programmes in digital quality.
The bedroom has a double bed of
180 x 200 cm. In the bathroom there is a shower, a toilet, a bidet and
a wash basin. The balcony offers a marvellous view over the proper pool
area and a narrow view of the sea about 300m away. There are many sun
beds at the pool as well as a cafeteria and a restaurant nearby.
Walking
along a footpath for about 700 m you get to the small fisherman's
village of Los Abrigos, well known for its very fine fish restaurants.
Just about 30 minutes walking will get you to the beach of El
Médano, a natural sandy beach of about 2,5 km long.
